An excellent base for the Lot and the Dordogne - Rocamadour, Monpazier, Sarlat, Cahors or just relaxing around the superb heated Mediterranean style pool. Canoeing on the Lot or Dordogne rivers is great fun for all the family, or perhaps exploring one of the historic chateaux, followed by an evening in one of the many friendly local restaurants, sounds more fun? If you prefer to relax, just laze around the 11x5m floodlit heated pool with it's shallow roman end (shelf) and aqua-jet, which toddlers seem to love. The pool which is secure and gated, is surrounded by a lovely terracotta Mediterranean-style terrace where you can enjoy reading, soaking up the sun and then cooling off in the pool …the time is yours.

The village of Frayssinet le Gelat is a short walk away, having bouloungerie, corner shop, 2 bars, restaurant, tennis court. At the village lake, a snack bar is open all day, and with pedaloes for hire, a great way for children to burn off some energy. Every Friday at the lake is Moules Marinene night: mussels in white wine and frites, with half a litre of wine for 10 Euros. Our neighbour is a riding stable, and we can book horse riding trek/walk for all abilities.

At the rear of the pool, children can enjoy the play area, equipped with swings, large ground level trampoline, climbing frame and table tennis. There is also a small wooded area to explore.
